September Layout 1 by NICOLA CAMPBELL

September Layout 1 by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Hi everyone,
Nicola here sharing my first layout using the September 2026 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Uniquely Creative's Oh So Lovely collection. The blog post walking you through the contents of both the main and add-on kits can be found here.
I used the Bazzill white cardstock from the main kit as my base and cut 2-by-9-inch strips out of each of the Heather, Fuchsia, and Tangerine cardstock sheets (main kit) and the same from a sheet of Uniquely Creative's Beige cardstock (this is one of the colours that appears in the co-ordinating cardstock for multiple other Uniquely Creative collections, it's such a versatile neutral). I distressed the edges and stuck them in vertical stripes on my white cardstock (lighter side showing for the Fuchsia and Tangerine cardstocks; darker side up for the Beige cardstock).
I added butterflies towards the top of each stripe (the orangey-red one is fussy cut from the Oh My Darling patterned paper from the main kit, the rest came from the Oh So Lovely Creative Cuts pack) with foam strips underneath their wings and glue in the middle so the wings stick up. I also punched some tiny hearts out of the 4 coloured cardstocks and scattered these, along with some of the Little Birdie Natalia flowers from the add-on kit, around the butterflies.
I printed my photo as a 3 x 4 inches photo and then fussy cut one of the pink frames from the Oh My Darling patterned paper. Before I stuck the frame to my photo, I sprayed it with Tim Holtz Distress Spritz in Kitsch Flamingo to give it a shimmery sheen. I've taken a photo at a tilted angle so you can see the spritz a bit more clearly. This was my first time trying a Distress Spritz (after seeing someone use them at a recent crop) and I have to say I think they're going to be my next supply obsession because they add such a beautiful touch and look lovely when they catch the light.
I placed my framed photo in the bottom right corner of my layout and finished off with some embellishment clusters, most of which come from the Creative Cuts pack, apart from the little scrap of notebook paper you can just see poking out from behind the faux-washi strip (which is a creative cut rather than washi); I fussy cut that scrap from the Oh My Darling patterned paper. The flowers above the photo and the little cherries in the bottom left corner are both raised on foam strips for added dimension.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for the September 2026 kits and I look forward to bringing you more layouts very soon. In the meantime, there's lots of crafty inspiration available on The Mad Scrapper blog, so do pop over and take a look.

Happy crafting! x
