Shine Bright, My Super Star by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Hi everyone,

Nicola here sharing my first layout of the New Year from the January 2026 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Uniquely Creative's Written In The Stars collection. The blog post walking through what you get in the main and add-on kits can be found here.

I started with the yellow (non-floral) side of the Starlit Garden sheet as my background, which comes in the add-on kit. I matted my photo on the Tangerine Blast cardstock (main kit) and placed it slightly left of centre on my background.

I cut the stripey banner piece from the cut-aparts side of the Superstar paper (main kit) and made the orange spotty banner out of the reverse of the branding strip on that same sheet. I placed these coming out of the right lower corner of my photo. Then I did some more fussy cutting from the Superstar paper to combine the "Shine Bright" tag and the "My Super Star" square to make my layout title. This collection contains a lot of positive affirmation phrases like these, which make it great for scrapping photos of achievements or milestones (big or small) - for example, my photo of when Spud received his most recent gymnastics level medal. I raised the "My Super Star" square on foam strips for some extra dimension.

To finish off, I fussy cut some of the stars from the Superstar paper (you get some many pieces out of the cut-apart sheets in Uniquely Creative collections) and scattered these in 3s around my photo and ephemera cluster, raising some of the stars on foam strips so they weren't all on the same level.
