Hi everyone,
Nicola here sharing my second DT layout using the September 2025 Scrapaholix Kits.
I started with one of the sheets of white cardstock and created a splattery background with Distress Oxide Stormy Sky using the packaging technique.
I cut some strips (1-inch width) from the blue, pink, and green patterned papers (Glam Girl Dots, the reverse of Multi Journaling Cards, Fabulous Floral) and distressed the edges. Then I laid them vertically and horizontally criss-crossing in the corner to create my background. My photo is double-matted on the Dark Pink and Pink cardstock sides.
To make my embellishments, as with my previous layout, I stamped some flowers on the Dark Pink and Pink cardstock sides and used Distress Oxide Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness on white cardstock, stamped leaves, and then fussy cut around all of them.
I added my fussy cut flowers and leaves, raising some of the flowers on foam strips for dimension. I used the alphas from the kit for my title ("Not Convinced" felt appropriate as our boy had a disgruntled look on his face in most of the photos from this trip to the park) and backed them on some white cardstock to make them really stand out. I then finished off with some Thickers from Bea Valint Sketchbook and some of the pearl brads from the kit.
