First I cut a large star from the Fabulous Floral paper and used the reverse green side. My remaining paper from the first layout I created wasn’t quite big enough to cut the entire star but the missing point wasn’t going to show so I went ahead.

I lightly drew around the star's outline onto the white card. I then blended Distress Oxide Iced Spruce around the edges of the star to soften it. I also splattered the Distress Oxide around the star shape. When dry I then stuck the star down.
I cut a strip of the pink/green paper measuring 10” x 1.5” and stuck that towards the left hand side of the paper. I then used scraps of the spotty paper to make another strip. It wasn’t quite long enough but I tore it to have a piece showing either side of the photo. I also distressed the edges of the paper strips using a Tim Holtz Distressing tool.
I then matted my photo on the green side of the green/pink paper and did the same with the journaling card I had used.
I then added each piece to the strips using the Home Hobby Tape Runner for the photo and Uniquely Creative Strips and Squares Foam pads for the cut apart section.
I then added my remaining ephemera from the kit and added four punched out 1” hearts to embellish finishing with some enamel dots from my stash.
