Love Forever by ELAINE KING

Love Forever by ELAINE KING

First, I took the sheet of Coconut Swirl card  and divided it into 3 inch segments, and then stitched a grid, using taupe coloured thread from my stash.
I then used scraps from the Grateful and Tradition paper in the kit and cut as many 2.5” squares as I could make - you might have to get a bit creative here if you’ve fussy cut lots of elements from these papers! I then inked the edges of each square, with Tim Holtz distress ink in Weathered Wood.
Stick each of these over the majority of the squares to the left hand side and top and bottom.
I then took my 6" x 4" photograph and triple matted it on the three different coloured card: black, Carob, and Fig Swirl.
Place this at an angle on the right hand side of the grid, and find further scraps to tuck behind the photograph. I then fussy cut the large clock face, suitcases and cameras together with the pocket watch and put to one side.

I then took frames from the 49 & Market Everywhere filmstrip set and tucked one top and bottom of the photograph and one to the left hand side.
I then added a part of a sticker beneath the photo from the Vicki Boutin Print Shop stickers set and layered the fussy cut items around my photo using different thicknesses of foam tape and acrylic gel for dimension.
Finally, I added two small clusters of flowers from the kit and added Green Tara cherry blossoms in mushroom in two different sizes. I also added ‘love forever’ from stickers left over from a previous kit.

I hope you like my traditional heritage style layout, which may encourage you to scrap some of your older photos! ?! Have fun!
