Hi everyone,
Nicola here sharing my first layout from the December 2025 Scrapaholix Christmas Kits - you may have seen on the previous blog post that there are 2 different options for the Scrapaholix kits this month - a Christmas-themed set based around Uniquely Creative's Home for Christmas collection and a winter-themed set based around Echo Park's Snow Days collection (both themes have a main and add-on kit available). I have opted for the Home for Christmas kits as I think the colour palette is just gorgeous!
If you're buying any of the December kits as a one-off, simply write which option (Christmas or Winter) you'd like in the comments box when you check out.
I started with the Little Traditions sheet as my background, which comes in the main kit - this is one of those collections where you can really allow the background papers to do a lot of the work for you and just add your own flourishes, rather than needing to build everything up from a blank page.
I matted my 6x4 photo on the darker side of the Raspberry Solid cardstock (main kit) and placed it in the gap between the two floral clusters on the background paper, which puts it slightly to the right of centre. Then I fussy cut 3 baubles from the Vintage Baubles patterned paper (add-on kit) and a couple of the flowers, 2 leaves, and the smaller of the two butterflies from the Ready for Santa patterned paper (also add-on kit).
I clustered these fussy cut pieces around the top of my photo, tucking some them behind the photo and laying others on top of the edges of the photo to create layers - the butterfly and pinky-red bauble are also raised on foam strips for extra dimension.
And, as I say, the gorgeous background papers in this collection do so much of the work for you that the only other things I needed were a title (the red "love" acrylic piece is a Bramble Fox perspextive from my stash), a bunch of holly (again, fussy cut from the Ready for Santa patterned paper), and my journalling, which I wrote in gold pen to compliment the tones of the background.
