Let's Bowl by NICOLA CAMPBELL
Hi everyone,
Nicola here sharing my first layout from the November 2025 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Bella Blvd's Documented collection.
I started with the Currently Loving sheet, which comes in the main kit, and cut a circle out of it. I used one of my son's plastic plates to draw around, which is just over an 8-inch diameter.
I folded the circle in half and cut along the fold line, and then cut it in half again to give me 2 quarter-circles (plus I've got the other semi-circle left that I can use on another layout).
I took the quarter-circle and drew around this twice on the Yukon Gold cardstock (main kit) to cut out 2 more quarter-circles.
I distressed the edges of my quarter-circles and laid them out in the middle of the sheet of white cardstock (main kit) to create a circle with the matching colours in opposite quadrants. I left a small gap between each piece to give them the look of a small white border (which is also helpful in not needing to match up the edges completely perfectly). Once I'd stuck these down, I stuck my photos in the middle of my circle shape.
Then, I cut out some of the phrase boxes from the Snippets sheet, which is in the add-on kit, to use as ephemera.
I found some ephemera from a Simple Stories Family Fun Bits & Pieces pack in my stash that had some bowling-themed pieces to go with my photos. I used these and my cut-out phrase boxes to cluster along the top of my photos and around the bottom left corner of my bigger photo, raising some of the pieces on foam to create dimension.
To finish off, I added some Bella Blvd epoxy hearts (you get a small strip of these in the add-on kit) and some epoxy dots (which came from a Bella Blvd pack I had in my stash that colour-matched quite nicely). I wrote my journalling around the lower edge of the circle.
