Classy with a Whole Lot of Sassy by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Classy with a Whole Lot of Sassy by NICOLA CAMPBELL

I started with a sheet of white cardstock (you get 2 in the Sep kit; as I've already used both of those on my previous layouts, I used one from the white cardstock pack linked below) and created some splatters with watered down Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy and a paint brush.
I tore a section from the Fabulous Floral paper, starting about 5 inches from the top on the lefthand side and tearing to 4 inches from the top on the righthand side, so that it slants upwards slightly. I then cut a thin strip of the Dark Pink cardstock and distressed one edge. I stuck the Fabulous Floral to the top of my white cardstock and stuck the Dark Pink just underneath the torn edge to give a lower border.
I cut the "Classy with a Whole Lot of Sassy" square out of the 4x4 Journalling Cards for my layout title and rounded off the corners. I double-matted my photo on the Dark Pink and Pink cardstock sides and stuck my photo and journalling card down along the line of the patterned paper on the background.
To make my floral embellishments, I've done the same process as with my previous layouts and stamped some flowers on the Blue and Pink cardstock sides and used Distress Oxide Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness on white cardstock, stamped leaves, and then fussy cut around all of them.
I added my fussy cut flowers and leaves, raising some of the flowers on foam strips for dimension. I then finished off with some enamel dots from Craft Consortium that I found in my stash that matched the colours of the Fabulous Floral quite nicely.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for the September 2025 kits and I look forward to bringing you layouts from the next kit very soon as we move into October. In the meantime, there's lots of crafty inspiration available on the Scrapaholix and Mad Scrapper blogs so do pop over and take a look.

Happy crafting! 😊 x
