Christmas Banner Layout by ELAINE KING

Using the December 23 kit, cut down the buff coloured card to 11” square and mount it onto the red coloured background card leaving a half inch border  (after having first gutted the centre).

Fussy cut the gnomes/gonks and banners from the cut apart sheet. Mount the photograph on the dark green card and mount centrally on foam pads.

Tear a strip of the dotty paper approximately and in to an inch and a half deep. Cut a second piece of paper around the same size using the red diagonal stripey paper. Mount them both at the top of the page, tucking the stripey piece under the polka dot piece. Distress the torn edges a little using your nail or a distress edge tool as shown on my video (link below).
Arrange the fussy cut banners to either side of the central photo on some bakers twine that I have glued behind the photo making sure I hid the glue behind the banners. Raise the top of the banners on foam tape and stick the bottom of the banners flat to the base card. I also used a Christmas tree from the ephemera pack as part of my banner string.
Using the snow globe from the ephemera pack, place it at the bottom of the photo. Fussy cut a floral element and create a cluster at the top right of the torn strips using more pieces from the ephemera pack.
Tear two more strips of paper for the bottom of the page, making sure they are narrower than the top sections. Tuck a Merry Christmas piece into the bottom strips and make a cluster using ephemera and fussy cut pieces on the bottom left. Finish these off with some of the Holly leaves from the kit.
Finally, embellish using Vicki Boutin Where to Next puffy stickers.
