While Away the Day by KAREN MOSS

I tend to listen to audio books rather than read as I can then do several things at once but after a recent trip to Newcastle, to visit our daughter and her family, my phone battery was low so I thought I would buy a book to read on the train home, I chose Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros as Gracie had recommended it. This was my introduction to 'Romantacy' (Romantic Fantasy) and I was hooked. Although, quite 'spicy' in places and not really the sort of book you would like your mother to read, I absolutely devoured it - reading for seven hours straight as there were severe delays on the journey.

I now have the reading bug and at the moment have an audio book I am listening to, a physical book I read during the day and another book I read on my Kindle when in bed :o)

For this layout I have used Uniquely Creative's While Away and Day Dream ranges as there were lots of book elements in the ephemera packs and the title 'while away the day ...' was perfect.

I started by making three tags with a photo of each of the three books on the front and a library card behind. The photos lift up to show a favourite quote from each of the books.

Taking a piece of While Away Joy paper I trimmed 1/2" from the bottom and 1/4" from each of the sides, this was added to a piece of white cardstock.

Across the middle I added a line of flowers and leaves from the While Away Creative Cuts, and fussy cut from the While Away 6 x 6 collection pack...

My three library cards were added at the bottom of the page with book Creative Cuts from both the While Away and Day Dream packs. I used butterflies to hold each book closed.

At the top of my page I have again, used Creative Cuts from both ranges along with another library card cut from the While Away 6 x 6 collection pack. The pink phrases are taken from the branding strip of a piece of Day Dream Calm and Collected paper.
