Vintage travel layout by LOUISE CROSBIE

This layout was inspired by a canvas “Pascale B. Scrap”. It’s the first time I’d seen these little dusty attic suitcases (I adore them).
Pascale is my favourite scrapbook designer.
I’ve used a photo of my grandmother. I don’t think she ever went to Paris as, like many families after the war, she was quite poor for a long time.
She travels far more in my imagination when I do layouts and journal pages using her photos. They represent what I would have wished for that young lady more than they represent real life.
I’ve used mostly ‘49 and Market’ products and ‘Dusty Attic’ products to build my composition. The pearls and beads are just from a broken old necklace bought in a jumble sale.
Thanks for looking. Now… I’m off to buy some more of these little suitcases 😃
Supply list:

3D foam tape
Liquid acrylics: Burnt Sienna
49 And Market supplies.
12 x 12 vintage artistry Sky (sadly a retired collection but Vintage Artistry - Essentials- essence is very similar and would suit a layout of this style just as well.)
Flowers: I've used an assortment of neutral fawn and cream flowers. I've also added watered down paint to some to make them match the layout.

Beautiful and I love your idea to let your grandmother travel through your pages and projects. X
