To The Moon ... And Back BY KAREN MOSS

To The Moon ... And Back BY KAREN MOSS

Hello, Karen here and I am thrilled to be able to share my first project for The Mad Scrapper blog.
For this Layout I have used supplies from two Cocoa Vanilla ranges. The papers are from the No Limits range and although I felt these were more boy orientated papers I knew they would be perfect for the design I had in mind.

If you have read the book ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ you will be familiar with the phrase that I have used as my title. It’s something my daughter and I say to each other frequently as a result of reading this book to her, endlessly, when she was little.

I wanted the circle on the Orbit paper to be as central as possible so I trimmed 1 in from the left, 3⁄4 in from the bottom and 1⁄4 in from the top. I then cut a 6 1⁄2 in circle from the centre of the paper.

I added the Orbit paper to a piece of 12 x 12 white card, star side showing and then added the circle back to the centre of this paper with the white side showing to represent a full moon.

My title was placed at the top left and bottom right using some phrase Thickers (Rainbow Phrases) picking the letters I wanted to make my title – I liked that they were different fonts and sizes.

Next I cut all the two-coloured stars from a piece of No Limits Nebula paper and these were placed around the circle.

I used a Vintage Artistry Shore Ephemera Stack to make a cluster under my photo which is 3in x 4in.

I added puffy hearts, from These Days Puffy Stickers, around my circle and the tab at the top of my photo.

I finished by using some Joyful Puffy Stars around my title, using a gold gel pen to colour in a few of the stars on the Orbit paper and added a label for the place and date, under my bottom title.
