Sun Sand and Sea by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Hi everyone,

Nicola here sharing my next layout using the July 2026 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Bea Valint's Smiles For Miles collection. The blog post walking you through the contents of both the main and add-on kits can be found here.

I tore a strip (approx 2.5 inches wide, but I just did it by eye) out of each of the Cream Bazzill cardstock, Powder Blue Bazzill cardstock, and the 3x4/Blue Patterned Paper (all from the main kit) and adhered them to the right-hand side of a sheet of Bazzill White cardstock (you get one in the main kit). Then I added some splatters using 49 and Market Pink Sands dye ink.

I backed my 6x4 photo on the pink side of the Woodgrain/Pink Patterned Paper (add-on kit) and placed it just right of centre. To embellish around my photo, fussy cut some leaves from the Smiles For Miles acetate (you get ½ a sheet in the main kit) and tucked them behind the top left corner of my photo. I fussy cut some beachy icons from Smiles For Miles Paper 5, which I had in my stash, and layered these over the acetate leaves - I raised the camera on foam strips. I cut the "head for the coast" phrase out of the 3x4/Blue Patterned Paper and raised this on foam strips in the top left corner cluster as well. To finish off this cluster, I added the Little Birdie butterfly embellishment from my add-on kit.

I added a few more beachy icons (Smiles For Miles Paper 5 again) and acetate leaves around the bottom right corner (the sunglasses are raised on foam strips). I cut the "Sun, Sand & Sea" stripes out of one of the journalling cards on the 3x4/Blue Patterned Paper, raised these on foam strips, and staggered them under the bottom right corner of the photo.
