Craft club layout and cards by LOUISE CROSBIE
Hi there.
We are starting a new, once a month, Wednesday afternoon craft club here at The Mad Scrapper. A new project to try on the second Wednesday of every month.
Hopefully we will have a nice variety to suit all tastes and styles.
And hopefully covering different themes including some masculine projects. It won’t just be all layouts and cards. We will include some art journaling and simple mixed media that we can complete in two to three hours.
We are kicking off with this layout (shown above) on the 14th of June (starting at 1pm).
Totally different from my usual style (I’m all about the vintage, distressed look) but it’s so bright and full of summer colour it seemed a good place to start.
Besides it’s only fair that I leave my comfort zone if I’m asking club members to leave theirs now and then. 😂
Full kits will be included in the cost. And if I’m super organised, die cuts etc will be pre-cut and ready to include in the kit. This will make it easier to complete projects in a shorter time.
And I’m motivated to do that for the June class, because, If we manage to finish the layout in good time, we have a couple of super easy bonus cards to include.
A summer, spotty, dotty, little card to use some of the scraps left from making your layout, and a sparkly shaker card just because…well…. sparkly! 🤷🏽♀️
After making those very (uncharacteristic) colourful, modern, vibe projects for June, I feel somehow positive I’ll be doing something a bit more vintage for the July craft club project. Putting me firmly back in my comfort zone 😂
I hope some of you will come along from time to time. I’ll be at the back of the shop (beside all the gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies and stencils 😍), sitting at one of the tables, waiting for you and raring to go.
Craft club details:
Second Wednesday of the month 1pm.
In The Mad Scrapper shop.
Costs will vary depending on the project of the month but aiming at budget friendly.
Attendance can be on a month to month basis with no regular commitment needed.
First meeting will be on the 14th June, cost is £14. Please get in touch if you would like to attend, as places are limited!
