Romantic Card by SHARON NETTLESHIP

This month's kit and add on is a stunner, I had such a hard job cutting up the papers but tried to use them fully on this card to get the full effect of them.

So to start with I layered up some of the cardstock in the kits. I used the Blackbir Natural and Ivy . I've used a 6x6 card base so cut each layer a little smaller. I then cut a layer in the "Lovely" patterned piece. I adhered them together.

I cut two labels from the "Delightful" paper. I also layered these up using the Blackbird and Piglet (what a great name for card) card. I overlapped the labels and adhered them to the base layers.

To make some lovely embellishments I fussy cut out some of the flowers from the "Lovely" papers and placed them around the card using 3D foam pads.
The chipboard butterfly comes with the add on kit and I wanted to incoperate that into my card. I inked the butterfly with Picked Raspberry oxide ink and when dry added a little texture crackle paste. When that was dry and gently rubbed over a little Black Soot oxide ink. I also added a little fussy cut butterfly to it's middle.
I then made a little band to go along the bottom of the card with the Blackbird card and a band cut from the "Delightful" paper. I adhered the band and the butterfly with a wet glue.
To finish off my card I splattered it with a little white paint.
I've never really worked with Graphic 45 papers before as I was a bit afraid to use them as they looked too nice to cut up but I think I'm converted now. 😊
