Postitive Hearts Card by SHARON NETTLESHIP

There are so many projects you can make with the Scrapaholix kits but what about all those little left over pieces that are just too pretty to put in the bin? Well how about this card? I've used scraps to make the hearts. You could easily use other shapes too. It's also a way to use those punches and little dies that you have lying around.
Cut a piece of Sunset Rose cardstock 12" x 6" and score in the middle to make your card base. Cut a piece of Twill cardstock to 5" x 5" and finally a piece of the White cardstock to 4" x 4".
Take the Twill piece of cardstock and stamp over it randomly with a floral stamp. I have used the lovely Fernwood Inspiring stamp set and Vintage Photo in distress oxide ink.
On the White cardstock use some rub ons to make a background. I have used Vintage Artistry Everyday Essentials rub ons.
Cut out some hearts with the  different papers. I've used a die but a punch would be just as easy or a template. Score each heart through the middle and edge with Vintage Photo oxide ink. Arrange on your rub on background and apply a tiny bit of glue to the middles so you can keep them in place on your card.
Sew a messy double line around your card base, a straight line around your stamped piece and straight lines through your hearts. I'm lucky enough to have a sewing machine but you could use a stitch stamp or even a fine line pen to make your stitches.
Edge all your layers with Vintage Photo distress oxide ink. Adhere the stamped piece to the pink card base. Use 3D foam pads to adhere the rub on and heart layer piece. I then cut out one of the sayings from the papers and used another paper to layer it up. Again edge both pieces with the Vintage Photo ink.
And there you go a pretty card showing off the May kit papers. I hope I've inspired you to use up all those little scraps that are left.
May kit & add on

What a beautiful card. I love how you made your background and those pretty hearts too. What a great way to attach them. x
