Explore Nature by LOUISE CROSBIE

Hi there.
This is my last month of designing for the Scrapaholix monthly kit.
And for my first project I decided I’d like to use up some of my 49 and Market ephemera and embellishments.
So these all come from different collections. There’s no reason not to mix and match from different collections if they happen to go well together.
I went for a sort of “nature exploring” topic.
I think my gentleman loves butterflies so much he is turning into one.
I’ve used a sheet of the Bazzill card as my backing and tore a piece off of one of the papers to layer over that.
As ever, all my paper and ephemera edges have been inked and distressed to achieve my favourite distressed vintage look. I mostly use distress oxides in vintage photo or burlap for my inking.
All I had to do was layer it all. Building it up as I went and filling in gaps for an eclectic collection.  I used the distress oxide ink over the word stickers so they blend in better than they did when they were bright white.
I finished it all off with touches of rust paint and paint splatters and added a painted Dusty Attic “explore” text along the bottom.
Now, as I have about one third of that torn 12x12 paper left, I’m going to use that in my next project but I’ll use the flip side for a different look.
