Lac de Chalain by KERRY MCINALLY

Lac de Chalain by KERRY MCINALLY

For this layout I used an additional piece of white cardstock from my stash as my base.
I mounted my photo onto some scrap white cardstock and then onto the yellow gold cardstock supplied in the kit.  My photo is 4 x 6.
I used some of the gorgeous Shimmerz paints to create almost a diamond shape on my cardstock, I used Sunflowers and Pool Me Closer, these were from my stash, and then splattered these colours around the card.
I tore three strips of paper from the Juicy Fruit, Feel Good and Definitive papers - they’re roughly 1 inch deep.  I used a border punch on the Juicy Fruit paper and I distressed the edges of each.  I wanted them to vary in length, so I tore some off the ends so that they stepped inwards.  I layered these on top of each other and stuck them across the middle of the page.
Then I mounted my photo onto some foam and stuck it just above my layered strips.
Next I looked through the cut apart sheet and found two 3x4 cards which I turned into tags to attach to either side of my photo, I used some thread from my own stash to go through the tag holes.  I also used two phrase strips ‘perfectly wonderful’ and ‘don’t worry be happy.’
Next I used the rainbows from the border strip to attach to the top of my photo, along with further banner pieces and phrases. I also used the ‘shine bright like a diamond’ banner piece from the embellishments provided.
Finally I used some puffy hearts and stars from my own stash, along with a flair piece and alphas.
