Hi I've managed to use the last of my September main and add on kits to make this great little journal with some signature pages. I found it really hard to cut up the beautiful piece of faux leather but making it into this journal I can see it everyday.
Cut out a piece of the faux leather to measure 20cms x 12.5cms. Score at 9 and 11cms to make the spine. I then wanted to make a background for the front cover so I used some rub ons. They actually worked beautifully on the cover.
For the main image on the front cover I made up a framed piece. I inked the edges of the frame with oxide ink in Gathered Twigs. I then cut a piece of the paper from the kit to fit the frame and inked it randomly. I added a couple more pieces from the papers in the kit, and then rub ons. I took 3 flowers and added a little gold wax to each and adhered them into the left bottom corner. I then adhered them to the cover. 
I inked and added gold wax to the chipboard dream and adhered it below the frame.
Using scraps of the papers I had left I made a few signature pages to write or add pictures to. You can always use other scraps from your stash of scrapbook papers too.  To attach them to the journal I used a piece of elastic. This makes it easy to add or take away pages. 
I've really enjoyed working with the September kit. It really is beautiful.
