Ballet Recital by KERRY MCINALLY

I used 7, 3 x 2 photos documenting my daughters ballet recital.  I decided to use the Coconut Swirl cardstock as my background and began by creating two lines of distress oxide ink in Spun Sugar and Dusty Concord, from my own supplies.  The photos are mainly pink but I thought the purple would lift the layout slightly.
I then added two filmstrips, from my own stash, in lavender.
Next I tore a strip from the Blue Skies paper and another from the Starring Role paper.  I tore these in half again, so they were approximately 9 inches wide and 1-2 inches deep.
I distressed them and added these strips to the ink strips along with the branding strips from the Blue Skies paper.
I backed my photos on some scrap navy pattern paper from my stash and layered them haphazardly on top of each other in groups of 3 and 4, I then added some double sided foam to the back, so they were raised from the background.
I cut out the pink "perfect" tag from the cut apart sheet, and the "something exciting" journalling card.  I added these to the two photo sections.  I also used some stickers from the sticker sheet provided and also cut out the words ‘starring’ and ‘director’ from one of the branding strips.  Finally I added my title using the alphas, I ran out of ‘l’s’ so used a snip of a number seven, I also added the ‘oh snap’ layered chipboard.
Additional supplies are available from The Mad Scrapper
