Tranquility Mini Album by KAREN MOSS

Tranquility Mini Album by KAREN MOSS

I have a video showing the pages of this album here.

I am going to Paris at the end of March, with my daughter and wanted to make a mini-album to add my photos to. Whilst browsing for inspiration on Pinterest (the famous time sucking app) I came across a lady who made amazing mini-book pages and she had a tutorial for sale on special offer - so I snapped it up and when I downloaded the PDF it had so many unusual page suggestions that I knew that if I used some of those along with some File Essentials I could make an interesting mini-album.

I started by cutting two pieces of gray board to 4.5" x 6.5" and covered the front and back with paper from the Tranquility 6" x 8" paper pad.

I then made the standard folded accordian folded page binding and added this to my inside covers and then added patterned paper on top of this.

I made my pages and added them either side of each hinge and then glued each pair together to form one page.

Page 1

For this page I used a file folder from the File Essentials Set, along with some washi stickers and pieces from the ephemera pack.

Pages 2 & 3

I made an angled pocket using a piece of paper from the 6" x 8" pad and decorated with pieces from the ephemera pack.

For my third page I folded a piece of paper from the 6" x 8" pad and embellished the top fold.

Pages 4 & 5

I made two pockets, one taller than the other and covered with papers from the 6" x 8" pad.

The file pocket on page 5 was made from a piece from the File Essentials pack but I needed to cut it down to make it fit my page.

Pages 6 & 7

Page 6 had a small square pocket, made from the 6" x 8" pad, and embellished with Tranquility ephemera and page 7 folds up from the top and bottom and is also decorated with Tranquility ephemera.

Pages 8 & 9

I used a piece from the Tranquility Foundations Collection Pack to make an accordian page and on page 9 made a belly band which I decorated with pieces from the ephemera pack and vellum stickers.

Pages 9 & 10

Page 9 uses a piece of 6" x 8" pad which has been split and folded and then stitched (one of the fantastic ideas from the PDF) and page 10 is a piece of 6" x 8" pad, cut to size with the top right corner folded back and secured with a glue dot.

Page 11

This page uses two envelopes from the Essential File Set, which fitted perfectly.

I decorated the front cover with pieces from the Cluster Kit and washi stickers.

Now I have finished my album, I love it so much that I don't want to spoil it by adding Paris photos but want to save it for something even more special!
