Today I Am Feeling Good by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Hi everyone, Nicola here sharing my first layout using the May 2026 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Bo Bunny's Colorful Story collection. The blog post walking you through the contents of both the main and add-on kits can be found here.
I used the purple side of the Floral paper (from the add-on kit) as my background. My photo on this layout is a 4x4 inch photo of when my husband was our local Pudsey for the day and I helped him with visiting the school. I backed it on Bazzill Yukon Gold cardstock (linked in the supplies list below; I've used some leftover from a previous month's kit) because this is quite a good colour match for "Pudsey yellow". I wanted to pick out the spotty theme from Pudsey's bandage in my layout so I punched some 2-inch circles from various colours of Bazzill cardstock: Whirlpool from the main May kit, Vibrant Blue, Fussy (both linked below; again, I had leftovers from previous kits), and Yukon Gold.
To add a bit more visual interest to my circles, I decided to try a bit of tone-on-tone stamping using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Life In Bloom stamp set and Distress Oxides - I went Kitsch Flamingo on the Fussy circles, Evergreen Bough on the Whirlpool circles, and Scattered Straw on the Yukon Gold circles (Mustard Seed might have been a closer colour match but my pad needs replacing so I went with Scattered Straw). I didn't do any stamping on the Vibrant Blue circles as I'd already planned out that those were going to end up mostly under my embellishments anyway. Then I stuck my spots down along the top left to bottom right diagonal - a few of them are raised on foam for dimension and I trimmed the edges off a few so they line up with the white border of the background paper rather than hanging over.
Once my spots were down, I added my photo (left of centre so it sat with the spots behind it) raised on foam strips. Then I finished off with a few stickers from Shimelle's Reasons To Smile cardstock stickers (from my stash; I used these with April's Live The Dream kits as well so they were to hand and I just thought the colours actually went quite nicely with this layout too) - the camera and phrases are backed on foam strips, while the balloons are on the flat. I felt this one didn't really need a whole lot in the way of embellishments as the spots were the main draw for the eye anyway, so I just left it at that.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for the May 2026 kits and I look forward to bringing you more layouts very soon. In the meantime, there's lots of crafty inspiration available on the Scrapaholix and Mad Scrapper blogs, so do pop over and take a look.
Happy crafting! x
