Spring blossom notebook by LOUISE CROSBIE

Spring blossom notebook by LOUISE CROSBIE

A bit of a different colour palette from me this week. I’m not usually a soft pastel sort of person but this look was achieved using quite strong colours and it’s the dry brushing in white afterwords that achieves the soft look.
I was inspired to make this album because Janine had kindly agreed to order in this Prima redesign mould for me. I like that about the shop. If Janine stocks a brand, she will always do her best to order in anything specific you might want the next time she puts in her order.
This Aviary mould has three separate birds, two different blossoms branches, a plain branch, two individual blossoms and a leafy sprig so you can build up all sorts of compositions with it.
I’m using a cheap little 8x8 scrapbook album bought in a budget stationary shop. I think it cost me £3. But by adding a little stencilling, the moulded shapes, gesso and paint, it’s become something much more elegant (even if I do say so myself lol).
I also changed the ribbon as the one it had was black.
I hope this little spring blossom book cover has given you some ideas or inspiration. There is a full supply list below.
Thanks for visiting the blog.
