Today I’m sharing a layout that features, mostly, 49 and Market paper and ephemera.
I’ve included some of my own original old ephemera like a receipt from a Victorian ironworks in Coatbridge here in Scotland. Particularly suitable as the photo is of my husband and our friend taken during an event our “Glasgow steampunk society” were attending and Coatbridge is just 8 miles east of Glasgow.
Since buying the Ephemera pack, I’ve been desperate to use it. Such lovely pieces that look like old envelopes and letters etc are included. Very much to my taste as you are no doubt aware if you visit this blog regularly.
I have to admit, it didn’t go to plan and there are bits I wish I hadn’t added (like the paint splatters over the ephemera) but it’s still got a nice vintage vibe and not overly feminine so it suits the photo I think.
Being a steampunk, I’ve always got containers full of metal cogs and gears and other steampunk appropriate embellishments (the moustache, top hat, goggles etc) so I added some of those to connect the background to the steampunk theme of the photo.
Now I’m off to make a mini album or tag book while I’m in the mood for crafting.
Thanks for stopping by.
