Monthly Makes - March by KAREN MOSS

I am really enjoying documenting my monthly makes and seeing exactly what has inspired me.  In April, I haven't done any knitting so next month's monthly makes may only be paper crafts.  In March I made four layouts and a mini album using Day Dream and While Away, two hybrid layouts an Aran hoodie and a cute little chick hat for Ezzy to wear in the lead up to Easter.

I started this layout by cutting a 1" frame from a piece of Rain cardstock and then trimming 1/2" from the bottom and one side of a piece of white card.  I added the white card to the top of the Rain card and then trimmed 1/2" from all four sides of a piece of Colour Crush Radiant Life paper and added this to the top of the white card.

I knew that Uniquely Creative coloured card had a white core and decided to try a little experiment with it.  I put a piece in an embossing folder and run it through my Big Shot.  Then I sanded the raised areas which resulted is them showing through white.  The blue with white spots was perfect to use with the Radiant Life paper.

Next, I cut 12 tags from a piece of Vibrant paper and arranged these in a circle around my page.  Prior to doing this I added white 'reinforcing circles' and a chiffon bow to each. 

A white 2" square was stuck to nine of the tags and a photo placed on top of these.

I added my blue spotty circle to the centre with a round piece from the creative cuts pack and a doily to the centre of my page.

To finish, I used lots of vellum creative cuts.
