Life Is Sweet by NICOLA CAMPBELL

Nicola here sharing my first layout from the April 2026 Scrapaholix Kits, which are based around Shimelle's Live The Dream collection with We R Makers. The blog post walking you through the contents of both the main and add-on kits can be found here.

I used a sheet of Bazzill white cardstock as my base (you get one in the main kit). I tore the Cookies patterned paper (add-on kit) in half length-ways and stuck one half to the left-hand side of my white cardstock, so the torn edge goes vertically down the centre of the layout. I backed my 3x4 photos on the Fussy (pink) Bazzill cardstock (main kit) and stuck them in the centre of my layout at slight angles. I cut the stripey semi-circle border piece from the Live The Dream paperie (you get a small selection in the add-on kit) in half, so each piece had 4 semi-circles, and placed one piece above and one below my photos, tucking it under the edge of my torn Cookies paper.

Now all I needed to do was embellish! As soon as I saw it in my kit, I knew that I wanted the "Life is Sweet" paperie journal card (from the selection in my add-on kit) to be the title piece on my layout, so I tucked this in behind the top right of my photos and worked from there. I took a cookie from the Live The Dream ephemera icons pack and the heart-shaped doughnut (or is it a churro? not sure) from the Live The Dream foam stickers (you get a selection in the main kit) and put them down the right side of my lower photo. I put the cute smiley face marshmallows from the ephemera icons on the left and the "Choose Joy Today" banner piece along the bottom, raised on foam strips.
