JANUARY! Roundup Layout: By Karen Moss

JANUARY! Roundup Layout: By Karen Moss

This year, I thought it would be interesting to have a monthly scrapbook layout featuring all the things I make each month. I like to knit, sew, scrapbook, make cards at Christmas and also hybrid scrapbook which is making pages from digital kits which I design on my laptop, print out the papers and embellishments, cut them out on my Silhouette and then construct my layout the same as you would a regular scrapbook page.

In January, I made 1 mini album, 7 hybrid layouts, 6 regular layouts and knitted a cardigan and hat for our grandson!

I used a sheet of paper from the Stamperia Dewdrops paper pad and used my Silhouette and a sketch pen to draw 19 2 1/4" faux stitched squares and the journaling. I then trimmed 1/8" from all four sides and added it to a piece of black cardstock.

I then printed out fifteen 2" photos of my projects and added to fifteen of my sketched squares.

Next, from another piece of Dewdrops paper I cut four 2" squares and added these to the sketched squares without photos.  I then used Dewdrops rub-ons on top of these.

To finish I fussy cut two sprigs of flowers and pine branches and two butterflies from another of the papers and added my title 'January' which was also cut on my Silhouette.
