Hot Chocolate: Layout by Karen Moss

Hot Chocolate: Layout by Karen Moss

I don't very often deviate from my usual cup of tea when I go to Café Nero but once a year, when Christmas Shopping, I like to sample one of their special Christmas hot chocolates.

I started this page by trimming 1/4" from all four sides of a piece of Stamperia Dewdrop paper and stuck this to a piece of white card.

I then used my Silhouette to cut out a takeaway cup shape and backed the top with black card and the bottom with a piece cut from a Nero take away cup (requested from the barista specifically with this idea in mind).  I cut two more blocks of paper and backed them with black card as they didn't show up against the background paper.

I added two photos to a Simple Stories Vintage Winter chipboard frame and placed this in the middle of my page, over the two blocks of paper.

My journaling was printed and stuck to a journaling block, also from the Simple Stories Vintage Winter page.

I made a cluster using a die-cut, a washi birdhouse and a fussy cut coffee cup (from one of the Stamperia papers) to add to the bottom left of my photo.

This page was finished using a black alpha and some dewdrops from my own supplies.
