Happy Trails by KAREN MOSS

I wanted to make a mini album, to hold photos of an upcoming trip we are planning and didn't want to make the actual album so I bought a 6" x 4" sketch book, from Hobbycraft and repurpused it into my mini. (Something I shall be doing again as it makes a quick and simple mini album base).

I spent time on Pinterest looking for interesting ways to make my pages interactive and the final result was the combination of several ideas from there along with some of my own.  As a result I can fit six photos that are 5" x 3" and a whopping 34 addidional photos of various shapes and sizes.

My album uses Stamperia's Herbarium Silvae and I mostly only used pieces and papers from the Junk Journal Pad, which has cardstock, stickers and die-cuts.  I did use a couple of pages from the 12 x 12 background pad but could have easily completed the project just using the Junk Journal.  This is such a good value pad as I have absolutely masses of product left for other projects! I inked the edges of all my pages, photo mounts and ephemera with brown ink to give it a more 'grungy' look which will be in keeping with the photos I am hoping to fill it with.

I have photos of other pages, from this album on my Instagram feed - karenmoss100

Supplies used:
