Grateful by KAREN MOSS

My husband and I (I sound like the Queen :0)  ), were very fortunate to be gifted a night's stay in a windmill as a 40th wedding anniversary present from our Daughter and her family. I wanted to document the scratch card, with the details and a postcard that was left in our room.  

I trimmed 1/8" from all sides of a piece of Gently Now paper, from Uniquely Creative's Whispers of Wisdom , and added to a piece of black cardstock which I had cut a 1" frame from as I wanted to use the centre to mat my card and post card.

At the top left and right of my page I used Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Ink and a text heart stencil to add a little more detail as I felt that the layout ran the risk of being too plain.

After matting the card and postcard onto black cardstock I added them to the page.  In the Creative Cuts pack I found the perfect title 'grateful' which I added underneath the card.

I then used pieces from the Creative Cuts pack and fussy cut from the corresponding cut-a-part sheet to create clusters at the top left and bottom right of my page.  I also added pennants, from the Creative Cuts pack  to the top right of my page.  I finished off with acrylic hearts, butterflies and little figures holding hands, which were from my own supplies.
