Christmas Star by LOUISE CROSBIE

Christmas Star by LOUISE CROSBIE

I’m thinking ahead to winter, Yule, Christmas etc and planning what class I could run at The Mad Scrapper for November/December.
And I’ve come up with this decorative little star decoration.
It’s a nice size. Not too huge so it doesn’t take up too much room. But big enough to look pretty on the wall or on a shelf..
Besides, I got new moulds and I was desperate to try them out lol.
I’m thinking I might use the houses again on something a bit more Halloween themed as soon as my new batch of resin arrives.
As ever, I’ve used mostly Finnabair Studio products to paint and add effects. The moulds (the houses and the snowflakes) however, are from Stamperia this time around.
I started with the Dusty Attic starry night stencil and some texture for the background. I actually used some heavy body gel to do that as I had it out on the table anyway to glue my resin pieces into place.
After adding gesso, and then liquid acrylics (full list at the end of the post) I dry brushed with white gesso then touched up some areas with metallique wax. Added glitter and it’s good to go.
If you think you’d be interested in this class, please get in touch with the shop. Full details on date and cost will be announced soon.

Beautiful! I am hoping you will sell the directions soon. I am stocking up on the supplies and was wondering what size the stars are? Want to have everything ready. I have already poured the moulds.
