Hello,
Today I am sharing a layout made for The Mad Scrapper Blog and this time it is a fun layout of my sister and her husband ticking off a bucket list item, that of visiting the Titanic Tour in Belfast.
I knew I wanted to use the Summer Porch collection for this layout and you will find a full list below. I started by trimming the manufacturer's strip off the bottom and then I gathered together possible supplies for use on this. I took the map paper and ripped away slightly less than half and inked gently the white core. Then I took a cream paper to make up the 12 inches, I smushed two blues on my stamp block, added some water then pressed it all over the cream. Then I gently splattered some of the darker ink. Once dried, I stuck the two together.
I matted the photo on to black paper then on to the Day Dream, but not before I punched the top edge. The opposite of the manufacturer strip is the stripe so I added it to the bottom of the photo. I added foam under for dimension but also to be able to tuck a couple of journal cards under and a few chipboard bits of ephemera. I had to add the life preserver because in the film that's what they were handing out!!
More chipboard pieces added to the bottom left of the photo.
This next photo shows the black title piece and the only bit of journaling I added, I will let my sister add some of her own when she receives this.
They had a great time and of course it would have been rude not to take the opportunity of having this iconic photograph taken. This was for a very long time her favourite movie.
To finish off the layout I just added some red Nuvo drops to bring together the spots of red around the paper you could also use red gems or pearls. I hope I have inspired you today and if you need any papers and are close to The Mad Scrapper pop in to see Janine if not go to The Mad Scrapper and look at your pleasure.
Sue
