Altered Round Box project by LOUISE CROSBIE

Altered Round Box project by LOUISE CROSBIE

Today I am sharing a very quick and easy project with you to demonstrate how effective some simple texture additions can be.
I have decorated a little buff coloured papier-mâché box. It didn’t take long.
I simply painted it inside and out with a couple of coats of acrylic paint and when it had dried I applied some texture paste through a stencil. (Remember to put your stencil straight into water after so it is easy to clean. Even before doing more to it, it had already begun to look nice and rich.
I added a strip of craft tape around the bottom which I stained with distress ink to help it blend in a little.
I added some metallic bronze touches to the edges before using heavy duty gel medium to attach the metal embellishments.
I gave the flowers a light dusting of glamour dust glitter to add a little sparkle to it and glued in a small flat back crystal to the middle of the flowers.
