It's Santa

It's Santa

PRODUCTS USED:

December kit

Ranger Clear crackle paint

Paint - red, white and gold

Pumice Stone Distress Stain

Pearl Pens - gold and cream

1 x (5"x7") photo

STEP BY STEP

1. Using the 3 solid Dusty Attic chipboard ornaments, apply liberally with clear crackle paint, and allow to dry. When dry, using a foam ink applicator brush, and a clean piece of foam, dab into the paint and dab onto the chipboard. Do not blend colours, just use a dabbing motion. Allow to dry, then add Distress stain over the top to emphasise the cracks.

2. To make the flowers: Cut 3 1" circles of merry notes patterned paper, and attach together with a large red brad. Scrunch up the patterned paper to give it interest and texture. Cut a 9" strip of the mesh in half down the length so you have 2 pieces 9" long. Adhere glue over the back of the paper circles and brad, and pleat one of the strips of mesh around it. Make the second flower the same way. It may be helpful to secure the back of the flower with double sided tape or another paper circle to prevent the mesh from coming unstuck.

3Use the white cardstock as your base. Cut the Christmas Cheer paper (blue side) to 11.5" x 11.5", then distress around the edges and roll them to make them curl in.

4. Use the leftover 12" x .5" strip and distress down the left hand side and along the top and bottom. Cut a piece of the Christmastime paper to 12" x 1", and distress the left hand side and along the top and bottom. Cut a piece of the glitter cardstock to 12" x 4" and distress all edges. Layer these 3 pieces together as shown and adhere approximately 2" in from the left hand side of the layout.

5. Cut a piece of the Christmastime paper (Merry Christmas side) to 8" x7", distress the edges and adhere lenghtwise approximately 1.5" in from the left hand edge and 2" up from the bottom edge of the layout.

6. Cut a piece of the mesh to 9" long and adhere on the Merry Christmas patterned paper block approximately .25" from the left hand edge, centred on this patterned paper top and bottom.

7. Matt your photo on to white cardstock - 7.25" x 5.25", then matt this onto the striped side of the Merry Notes patterned paper - your matt will be 6.25" x 8.25". Adhere to the layout as shown.

8. Using the 3 Dusty Attic solid chipboard ornaments, tie them onto a piece of jute approximately 10" long. Secure the flowers to your layout as shown with strong adhesive, and attach the chipboard cluster in amongst the flowers, arranging the jute so it flows along the bottom and up the left hand side of the photo.

9. Add your title along the bottom of the photo.

10. Write your journalling on the tag, attach a red brad through the top and a star cut out from the Christmas Trees paper. Cut a piece of the mesh to fit under the tag, and attach the whole to the right of your title as shown. Put gold pearl drops around the edge of the tag.

11. Put cream pearl drops around the Merry Christmas patterned paper block, and allow to dry.
