Vintage steampunk inspired treasure box: By Louise Crosbie.

I don’t know about you, but I often drift into a creative vacuum over the winter months. Once I’ve done all my Halloween and Yuletide projects, I lose my oomph.
It’s often hard to get it back but, I must say, the new supplies I bought from the shop recently totally gave me the kick start I needed.

I got 3 big silicon Stamperia moulds from the new Mr Vagabond Fantasy World range. Oh my gosh they are so lovely I had to use one the same day I got it home. I have also been inspired by Finnabair's new colours in her wax range. In particular the Black Gold which has a beautiful antique look that seems to alternate between silver grey and gold, depending on how the light hits it.

So I combined those two items along with some other paints, waxes and moulded resin to make this big vintage treasure box. It is 30cm long ( almost 12 inches ) so it’s going to be useful for keeping “things” in. No idea what things yet.

The inspiration for this box came from a wooden plaque Finnabair did in one of her patreon classes. The box is nothing like the project in her class but the inspiration is clearly there.
